Welcome from McGavock High School's Red Team of the Ninth Grade Academy!
We are excited about this school year and encourage you to visit this site often for announcements from the team and individual teachers, as well as to utilize helpful internet resources.
We have a common Red Team Supply List for this school year.
Students must have:
- a 2"-3" 3-ring binder with pockets (any color)
- 5 pocket dividers
- a pack of loose leaf college ruled notebook paper
- blue or black pens
- pencils
- Recommended: a USB flash drive to store their typed work for their classes
Additionally, our team has the following *Wish List*:
- Kleenex/facial tissues
- hand sanitizer
- pack(s) of pencils or pens
- pack(s) of loose leaf college ruled notebook paper
Tardy Policy
1st tardy -> Warning
2nd tardy -> Review tardy policy with student
3rd tardy -> Phone call home
4th+ tardy -> Referral to their principal, usually resulting in In-School Suspension (ISS)
Dress Code Expectations
Our team is committed to enforcing the school's dress code policy. Please note that NO HOODED GARMENTS are allowed in class or on school property. We do understand that sometimes our building gets chilly, but there are approved items that students can wear to keep warm and stay out of trouble. Students may wear:
- solid color sweatshirts without hoods or writing on them
- polar fleece jackets without hoods or writing
- windbreaker jackets without hoods or writing
- solid color crewneck and cardigan sweaters
